June 5th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedA lot of people suffer from various kinds of allergies. If you don’t yourself then most likely know someone who does. There is a lot of controversy over what actually causes allergies. Some doctors believe that if you have allergies that you are stuck with them and there is nothing you can do about it. Others believe that they actually have a psychological cause, that is, some traumatic triggered your allergy. Still others believe that allergies are caused by a compromised immune system and can therefore be easily treated by modifying your diet.
If you are suffering from allergies and throat swelling, then your primary concern is being able to breathe. If you are reading about allergies and throat swelling for the first time, then read on to learn more. If have an episode you should get to a doctor immediately.
Allergies can be confusing things. There are some people, most of the people, as a matter of fact, who simply cannot tolerate certain things. Most people are allergic to something, a bug, a mold, or something else. Most of the time, allergies are not very severe. This is because our bodies find their own ways to fight off the things that we can’t handle, and we are able to deal with our allergies on our own. Most of the time, people show signs of having allergic reactions by having a stuffy head, or another small symptom. These can be easily fixed by taking allergy medicine, or having allergy shots. However, now and again people have very severe allergic reactions, and if this is the case, they have to deal with allergies and throat swelling, which can be very bad indeed.
When Does This Happen
When someone is dealing with allergies and throat swelling it means that there has been something very bad that has happened. This is a very severe form of an allergic reaction, and it can be the one that causes the most problems. If a person has allergies and throat swelling it means that their body is not able to deal with whatever they are coming into contact with, and it can be a very dangerous thing.
If you or someone you know is having allergies and throat swelling, it is not something that you can simply leave alone. You have to make sure that the person who is experiencing allergies and throat swelling sees a doctor right away, because if you do not see a doctor, you are going to find that you might be in very big trouble.
As I just mentioned, if you have allergies with throat swelling you should see a doctor immediately. If your throat swells too much it can block your breathing passages and die. Call 911 or drive the sufferer to the hospital. Or, if it’s you, call 911 or have someone drive you to the emergency room. You will also want to discuss with a doctor why you are having this reaction and what you can do to avoid it in the future. It could be that some food, animal or thing is causing you to have the allergic reaction. You need to find out what it is so you can avoid it in the future.
Finally, I’m of the opinion that allergies can be caused and made worse by a poor diet. For example, some allergies can be made worse by sugar and grains. Sugar is a food source of some allergies. Therefore, to avoid allergies and throat swelling pay close attention to what you eat and cut out all sugary foods, snacks and soft drinks. Many people aren’t aware that sugar weakens the immune system. I’m shocked when I see people with colds or the flu eating candy, fruit juice or sugary foods. All of it only makes the bad bacteria in your body more powerful thereby weakening your immune system’s ability to fight the illness.
On the contrary, people with colds or allergies should take probiotics on a daily basis. Probiotics flood your intestines the healthy bacteria necessary to make you immune system strong. Stronger immune systems can fight off allergic reactions and possibly even stop them from happening. But remember, you have allergies and throat swelling, this is an acute reaction that needs attention now from a doctor.
